and would do it differently if you get a new chance, what would it be ?
I know its hard to a parent the first time, everything is new, you don’t know if you are doing the right thing or maybe doing it the wrong way.
Mines would be and I am really sorry for it, I didnt know that baby’s teeths are so sensitive to caries.
Unfortunately .. my daughter’s teeth has gotten some caries and tomorrow we will have to go and see a dentist for it. I wish I had been more caring about cleaning .. somehow we didnt notice that the upper back teeth has gotten them and the front teeth is also effected which we were caring about.
trying to cut/trim my kids hair myself they ended up with some really BAD hairdos!
not being consistent with their routine initially, makes such a HUGE difference. i thought older kids benefit more from a structured routine but its never too early to start, even a newborn will fuss less, they know and expect whats coming next and they are comforted by that predictable routine. live n learn
I try to "relive" my life through my kids. So whatever my parents did wrong, that upset me - I try to correct it, polish it, and present it to my kids. (It's not that I am traumatized or anything...my parents were just strict. I believe that my parents could have said the same thing in a better way, or done it in a different manner).
I have no regrets so far.
(However, I just asked my 7 yr old to tell me what she thinks I do wrong or that she does not like? She told me laughingly - you need to stop smacking me mom! =) )
aahhmmm - so every parent still are at fault some how! I will try to correct myself in "smacking" her a little less ;) lol
what did the dentist say about your daughters teeth??
and dont worry alot of people dont realise how sensitive children's teeth are and how warmful some of these drinks, and sweets can be!! :(
Dentist was quite nice and was praising the fact she came inside without a stroller .. she stopped the stroller 5-6 months ago and she is now 3! :)
Well .. the dentist did some scrapping of the black thing, the caries and applied some medicine on it, so that it will die away hopefully. Thank God the daughter let the dentist look inside her teeth and do the procedure, some months ago, she cried and didnt even let them see the front teeth. Well she was a good girl and we have to go back on monday after the holidays, we were prescribed some antibiotik just in case the gums should swell.
The thing we did right after we came home ... this time I had my husband behind me as I wanted to do this a long time ago ... we put all bottles in a plastic bag and told her its going into the trashbin as she is a big girl now .. all infront of her, she somehow understood this is because she had a dentist appointment and now its because of it .. thank God she is a good girl ... once or twice she told me .. the bottles are in the bin as they were 'broken' and now dirty .. we cannot drink from them right! with a sad face. :)
