Anyone had this with clomid? As you guys know that I took clomid 100 mg (from CD5-9) in this cycle…today was my CD-15 scan and results are disappointing…Lining is just 4.4 mm and there are many follicles ranging from 8-10mm, with the biggest one only on 10 I can already see this cycle going into trash :hinna:
My RE is out of country so the sonographer did the scanning. She will ask my RE about the next step. Although i am a slow grower, last time my biggest follicle on CD-12 scan was 12mm (took clomid 50mg from cd 3-7) and three days later it was 21mm. But my lining was 7.2 mm. This time its just 4.4. It is so frustrating and disappointing.
Is there anything i can do to thicken my lining? What is the use of continuing clomid if it thins out my lining.
Clomid is an anti-estrogen so it does tend to thin the uterine lining.........let us see this cycle otherwise you may think about swtiching to Letrozole for the next cycle.......discuss it with your fertility specialist.
^ I have heard the same. Khair my RE is prescribing me Provera so that we can move to the next cycle. I will discuss with her the possible combinations for next cycle inshAllah!
Actually it is a good idea, i will definitely ask them for it. But actually my lining is so thin, so thats not a good sign! With such a thin lining, will mature follicles will be useful at all?
If Clomid is thinning out your lining, which can happen, I guess your doctor will probably switch you off Clomid to another med, like injections (Puregon, Repronex, Gonal F etc). Your doctor can also prescribe something for you, like estrogen or progesterone, to help support your endometrium. Some doctors also tell their patients to take baby aspirin daily to help support the lining. I guess you will have to wait till your doctor comes back and reviews your results and then he/she will suggest what is the next best course for you. Insha Allah everything will work out for the best hugs
