So is it good to marry someone whos totaly opposite or someone whos just like you? What would be up and down of marrying someone whos just like you or opposite of u?

If you marry someone who is exactly like you than it would be extremely boring! Not to mention your bad habits will double up instead of canceling out :D
You have to have some sort of a balance - some things that you like that the other person likes and some things that you like that the other person dislikes. There has to be some difference of opinion to add zest to your married life.
Complete opposites do attract at times but then they end up compromising a whole lot once they get into a serious relationship.

It's nonsense. Most people get along with people who have similar basic beliefs. That could be religion, moral beliefs. Then if they enjoy doing the same things together that helps to strengthen a relationship. Like if one is athletic and one is a couch potatoe it may not work too well.
But if one is a workaholic, driven, obsessive, type A then the other partner may be more mellow and patient to balance the marriage and family life. (Sounds very familiar to me).

I have yet to find a correspondence principle between laws that govern the highly objective physical sciences to the wishy washy subjective fields of social science.
Anyway, a good balance or complement to each other’s personality is what makes people bond together, which is also found in nature as well. Being similar is no guarantee for success, if it were; being gay would have been the dominant trend in human kind. :p

From my personal experience, I would say it is better off marrying someone who is same as you. Keep in mind that no one is 100 percent exactly like you, so even though you and ur life partner are alike but there might be some diffrences as well.
That is the beautiful part of the relationship. At one point you know them because they are mostly like you and you know in the beginning what to expect. On the other hand, some part u might not know of that person and then the mazay ki baat u explore that on ur own as an adventure.

depends on what type of personality u have. some desi village girls don't have any personality. they're just expected to cook food and bear children. that is why many high-flyer desi boys prefer to go back and get their villagey bride. they don't want to be bossed around. they just want good food and good...

Opposites do attract…in my experiences and from wot i’ve seen in my family n friends…i think it creates balance, if one person is angry then the other can remain calm and they will know when and how to talk it out (like with my parents).
When ur alike, then many problems can occur. Most of us dislike a thing or two about ourselves…and so wot’s more annoying then seeing those same exact flaws in ur partner.
It’s fun to point out and make fun at each others’ differences and keeps the relationship exciting and alive…the downside wud be, i guess like in any relationship with anyone…the times when u disagree on something and it causes and argument…at that point, u shud learn to just agree to disagree.
Being opposites, allows u to fall in love with things about a person that u don’t see in urself, or that u r lacking…u can learn a lot from each other, and it’s much easier to compromise

It's always nice when ure partner shares hobbies and interests but come on isnt it boring if he/she is exactly like u?? I think that one can learn alot and have a fun time when u discover the opposite side too!
