Re: they say its a safe place
I think its more that the country has some pretty big issues that need to be addressed. Pak is a wondrous country for sure. But it also has huge issues that put its citizens in peril. No matter where you live, be it there or in the west, you can always find something to do that could help correct the situation. Support funding for education, encourage education and discourage taliban-ism. Give to charities that support these things.
Every country has issues at one time or another. Its all in how the issues are addressed and resolved that make it a good place or a bad place to live. No one wants to go to a market with fear of suicide bombers on the loose. Or facing a beating for being improperly covered or not having a long enough beard yeah? No one wants to live where they cannot get a good education for their children without paying bribes. So the issues need to be faced, addressed and corrected in a forthright manner and then people will be able to live there with pride and peace.
I'm not picking on Pak here...like I said, every country has its issues and every country has gone thru periods of crisis which I think Pak qualifies for at this time. The big thing is to do something about it yeah?
