..when you feel guilty for having breakfast, one roti and cup of hot choc.
The depression kicked of an eating disorder i guess some time back and even though i’ve bounced back one thousand gazillion percent the one meal a day routine is becoming exhausting.
I don’t want to do it…but if i don’t, the guilt kicks in. From before and after i’d say i’m at least 12lbs lighter but i don’t want to ruin the quality of my life by picking and choosing and stressing over food stuffs. YET, when i eat like i used to i of course start getting healthier and because i’m so used to not carrying the extra weight around i ‘think’ i’m getting ‘fat’ and go back to one mealing again. Ugh, i’m stuck.
I guess we have to start somewhere. My start is, i think i have a problem
Yes, what you are doing is depriving your body of needed food and nutrients.
Eating more tells your metabolism that you arent going to starve it and therefore it will be more ready to let go of the fats. As long as you are eating healthy portions when you eat more, and do atleast 30 minutes of exercise a day, you will be fine.
I used to eat only twice a day, large meals.
I now usually eat three small meals and one snack a day, but I eat healthy most of the time, and I workout atleast 30 minutes a day. And guess what? From eating more and exercising, I have lost weight, Mash'Allah. More to go, but I am astonished at the results of eating more often and a little bit of exercise.
I actually thought I would gain weight, but my body has done the exact opposite.
Remember, small portions, 3 times a day, healthy food, and 30 minutes exercise. You cant go wrong. You will have more energy and you wont feel depressed.
DD, if you are concerned about eating more and gaining weight, perhaps talking to a nutritionist will help sooth your anxiety. A nutritionist can help you figure out a healthy eating regiment.
u SHOULD feel guilty…thats not very healthy breakfast.
breakfast is the most imp meal of the day…focus on having a big breakfast made up of food choices that are not only nutrient rich but also taste good to you so that you look forward to it everyday.
start of the day with energy boosters like whole grain cereals/breads, fruit, yogurt, protein. lay off sugars and refined carbs (rotis and hot choc lolz)…but give yourself leeway and do indulge in something u love like in my case its coffee…that i take with sweetnlow(i know its bad for me but whatever i know my limits)
ok u need like approx 1200 calories just to survive the day…eating any more than that might make u gain weight…i am sure u can include three healthy meals within this range…get your nutrients and still not gain weight…
