Just listened to Geo news coverage of operation, Kamran Khan talking to a retired Admiral. He asked him isnt it concerning that terrorists had accurate information about best planes with Pak navy. They knew when these planes were brought out on the runway and they attacked at that time. (Suggesting between the lines that someone from inside provided them info)
Admiral said, well its not difficult to know about it. The base is very big and is surrounded by kachi abadi and if someone is standing on the roof of one of these house, he can easily see the planes and the planes are very big and at one time there is only one or two planes in the hanger, while rest are on the runway.
Now thats the security of our naval bases. According to the same guy damage of the two planes will reduce the surveillance capacity by 15-20% and were most adavnced of the maritime security planes.
yup...few here(GHQ)..few here(Raymond)...few here(OBL Op)..few here(swat)..they dont add up..its just a few..
quite rite.
Responsibility lies on few individuals on top of the ranks. It's their duty to use resources accordingly and make decisions. Those low ranking personnels, who go about doing their duties or put in harms way with their hands tied to their backs are not to be blamed here.
nobody is blaming them.........blame is being put on those who run the institutions, make policies, give orders...........nobody is inhuman to put a blame on the foot soldiers who lose their lives due to the utter non-sense of the 'few' ........
NomiCA, the term "Army" in it's context represents the whole institution. Which also includes the foot soldier. When "army" is deployed in country to maintain law & order OR for disaster relief efforts - then it specifically mean " foot soldiers" on grounds. You don't refer their high command on ground as "deployed army".
The point is- criticism should be aimed towards specific incompetent individuals, WHO ARE IN CONTROL - not the "Army".

The admiral doesn't deserve to be an "expert" unless he is an expert at joking around..
Complete shmucks..nothing more to title them with...
Aray bhai UF - its obvious that any institution's performance is a direct reflection of its leadership. No one thinks that that the "fauji jawan" is not sincere - its the corrupt leadership at the top. For all our lives we were taught to have pride on our armed forces (this was also kind of mind control through very tightly controlled media). And now the bubble has burst exposing the sold out leadership which has and continues to cheat the "jawans" as well as common citizens of Pakistan.

Hmmm let me put it differently here. When we point finger in general direction by using generic terms like "army" "establishment" "politicians" etc, we give cover to those incompetent individuals. The blame here evenly distributed and incompetent individuals are never exposed or punished. If we want to bring change in "leaderships'" attitude then we better start gelding them personally accountable, and avoid generalizing.
^ let's keep things in perspective, shall we? No need to paint the whole institution with same brush, over incompetence of few.
Perspective:
1965.... go into Kashmir, no idea what's gonna happen if India retaliates
1971... kill and rape Pakisatnis
1980s.... ahh well, we know
1990s... Kargil, no plan B
2000s... kidnap and kill baluchis... give unlimited access to US forces.....Raymond Davis... OBL... multiple attacks on own installations including GHQ
Ah, well... I'd give them credit for excellent work in DHA, fantastic clubs and nice beaches. Askari Bank is pathetic though.
These planes were ideal for NAVY, they can detect under water submarine and blow them.
I remember one already destroyed by India.
That was so doubtful that father of one Shaheed on board denied to meet the naval command at home. He said, " inhon nay hamaray bachon ko hath pair bandh kar dushman kay aagay dal dia"
انہوں نے ہمارے بچوں کو ہاتھ پیر باندھ کر دشمن کے سامنے ڈال دیا
