Re: There seems to be justice after all in Pakistan
I think there should be more to be done for justice to prevail. Now I dont have any personal experience so I wont comment much but the general perception is that its really hard to get justice from these courts. And the above example doesnt prove much.
Re: There seems to be justice after all in Pakistan
Yes and a placard picture on the internet means a lot more than a woman who has brought education to kids in interior sindh.
More so since she actually had to fight off a wadera to get it done.
Re: There seems to be justice after all in Pakistan
It's very good that she won, there are countless instances involving the elite who have never been punished. Either the cases are politically motivated or otherwise. Remember no corruption has been proved against PPP and pmln leaders so far, no case proved against mqm and ttp terrorists and the list goes on. Any person who has got even an elementary knowledge of Pakistani justice system would know how much justice exists there.
Re: There seems to be justice after all in Pakistan
Good that she won. I''ll applaud when my Suser-Jee gets his land back. Land that he is fighting the case for from last 14 years and as per conservative estimate has spent around 500,000-600,000 Rs on the case so far. He was a Govt servant and got that land on reduced rate FROM GOVT after his retirement. Land mafia took over the land, had the boundary wall build. They offered my FIL that they will vaccate the land for 500,000 Rs. It would have been better deal for my FIL that he did not take. I have not told him this on his face but unfortunately I think he will never get his land back and will end up burning all of his savings unless Sasoo-Ma jee puts her foot down and says "bohat ho gaya case wase"
This is just my FIL's story. 90% of other poor plaintiffs are going through the same pain. You have to understand that 95%+ cases are registered and are dealt in lower judiciary. That's were poor get crushed while cook judges like Iftekhar stay busy in overseeing his own Son's case or case of Atiqa Odho brining couple of Alcohol bottles in Pakistan.
"Lawyer kia kerna seedha seedha Judge HEEE ker leen" still holds true in Pakistan.

maiN to tab maanuuNgaa jab Zardari, Nawaz aur unke chamche jail jaayeNge...ikka dukkaa case jeet lenaa koii baRii baat nahiiN...this lady won the case and she is a lucky woman until the wadera saahab decides to appeal the verdict and wins in the higher court.

Re: There seems to be justice after all in Pakistan
I was a critic of Iftekhar Chauhdary but our judiciary is at its best at the moment , Our system is not helping them
Re: There seems to be justice after all in Pakistan
Yep our case is stuck in the courts too, not land mafia but real estate mafia. This is why honest hardworking smart intelligent people leave the country.
