Re: There is something wrong with my laptop
I doubt it is a virus, but you may want to scan the memory stick with your husband's computer's antivirus (congratulations on your marriage, by the way. I didn't knew till just now!). Insert the memory stick and then direct the anti-virus software to make a specific scan of the stick. If a virus is detected, then you may need to do a full external scan of your computer to rid it of virus and trojans.
However, I suspect this is a hardware malfunction. Does the computer die completely or just the LCD screen shuts off leaving buttons working. If that is the case, there may be a lose connection between the keyboard/CPU and the LCD screen.
Another culprit could be a lose connection in the battery compartment. Take out the battery and insert it again, making sure it clicks properly and is not loose.
The power on/off button could also malfunction. Check to see if there is too much wear-and-tear and if the button is pressed accidently.
