There is no compulsion in religion

Re: There is no compulsion in religion

^^i know man, same thing put us off too.. your claims of HIM SAW being the last and then sayin Isa AS will come back again.. wat is that ??.. then sayin ohh, He AS came firstttttt..... like that make any sense?

anyhow, as the title suggests , no compulsion in religion.. so just be confident about your own beliefs and dont let anyone fool you around. I do however suggest you to prepare the answers for some of the question that you have in your own mind about your beliefs..such as the coming of Isa AS .. His AS status after Muhammad PBUH etc... that'll make you far better in terms of giving arguments :)

enjoy and adios!

Re: There is no compulsion in religion

^ Mr... We Muslims are very much clear about our beliefs, and there are no confusions whatsoever

no more reply from me on this...

Re: There is no compulsion in religion

Sure!, Its surely because of being 'clear about your beliefs' that made the Muslim Ummah divide... and continuously making efforts not to unite ummah but to create distances amongst them.. well done.

no more reply from me on this either.

:salam:

Wow has this thread degenerated since I last visited it. No respect among us at all. Pity.

My confession, this is one of the things that has never made sense to me either i.e. Qatl e Murtad. In all my research I have never found compelling evidence to agree with this. And I AM NOT QADIANI, before someone jumps and labels me.

I guess the reason is I have always tried to first understand the underlying premises of the hudood in Islam. There are very few punishments enumerated in the Quran i.e. adultery, theft and murder. In otherwords, only the major sins have been paired with punishments in the Quran and hadith. For me, I can’t help but see that the common theme of these hudood are applicable when the victim is another fellow human being. So the laws of justice are applicable when you are violating the rights of another human being not the rights of Allah SWT. In the case where you are violating the rights of Allah SWT, judgement for them has also been left to Allah SWT. In line with this thinking I have never found this concept acceptable unless treachery and treason is involved, which is a violation of human rights and intention to harm muslims.

walaykum as-salam,

bro, may I ask, what is compelling evidence to you?

Combination of Quran, Hadith and opinions of classical and contemporary scholars and my own thought process as well.

Re: There is no compulsion in religion

uhhhhhhhhhhhh there is another discussion required about compelling evidence
the problem with we ppl are we least try to read earliest sources and wander around in the interpretations and other things
friends the very basic things are
1- quran
2- history or tareekh

wt you say hadith or fiqh or tafseer all are derived from earliest sources of islamic history
i claim not to be shia sunni or any else but in my humble opinion jihad is wajib but in defence or to avoid zulm although it must be called by a legitimate leader of ummah tht i think is not available in i slamic umma nowadays and to kill murtid is a petty issue wt about the issues Allah stressed upon in holy text certainly there is no compulsion the verse is there but wt about the verse if you goes on a killing spree blaming someone for this or that .
islam is the religion of universal principles tht will be valid till the end for all times try to look for those fundamental general principles not for biased self interested divisive interpretations.
