**The Swan was a 2004 (United States - Wikipedia) reality television program broadcast on Fox in which supposedly very ugly women were given “extreme makeovers” that included several forms of plastic surgery. The title of the series refers to the story of The Ugly Duckling that grows up and becomes a swan.
Each contestant was assigned a panel of specialists — a coach, therapist, trainer, cosmetic surgeons and a dentist — who together designed an individually tailored program for her. The contestants’ work ethic, growth and achievement was monitored during a three-month transformation process. Two women were featured every week and at the episode’s conclusion, one went home and one was selected to move on to the Swan pageant, where the women competed with each other to be The Swan.
Both the first and second seasons debuted in 2004. A third season was tipped to happen, but the show was cancelled in early 2005 after continued ratings drops.
The Plastic Surgeons on the team were chosen among hundreds for their ability to perform often startling transformations. Drs. Terry Dubrow and Randal Haworth, both board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, were selected by the producers of the show to perform the multiple plastic surgical operations for each of the two aired seasons.
i hated that show. i wanted to Bslap the producer or whoever responsible to come up with that stupid idea. sorry for the language but thats wat i think! pathetic morons.
first of all any1 will look ugly in the clothes these women are wearing in their before pictures and washing ur face and combing ur hair doesnt hurt either. these women cud’ve looked beautiful with sum make up and nice clean clothes there was no need of plastic surgeries to turn them into freaky plastic bimbos
i remember seeing one of these women on sum documentary saying how her breast implants leaked and her surgery went horribly wrong after a year or so.
