***As 2009 draws to a close , its a time for reflection on the year that was.
The decisions you made whether it was a change in career or relocation , whether it was a marriage or a child , the past year has been eventful to say the least.
For me it was not a good one.The moment I got transferred to India from Bali with a promotion in hand and later a with a functional promotion,I thought it was good but now I understand I am not able to cope up with the surroundings.I want to go back to Bali immediately :D
2009 was a good year for India because it did not have to face any terrorist activities :) :D
The past 3 years have been very traumatic, but 09 climaxed into a complete upheaval of my life. Incredible how many incidents can be crammed into a single year.
On the brighter side, it taught me to take everything in my stride.
Overall, its been ok. ups and downs. its the first year i spent living with my hubby after he got his visa, he's had a real hard time finding a job, so thats been difficult cos i can see how much he wants to work. we bought a car though, that was exciting lol. and this year i have grown particularly sick of my job, really fed up with it, and dont want to waste 2010 in it, but will keep it till hubby finds a stable job.
am full of hope for 2010, may it be a good year for everyone here :)
Y2K9 did play a major role in my two careers and at home front!
*At showbiz front-----I received 18 offers for serials, long plays etc of which I chose 8 which were successfully recorded and two of them released same year--doing fairly well...!
*
*At professional front----I received an extension in bank service with elevation---being transferred to field as General Manager (South) for Sales at my bank (UBL) when I acquired superanuation on 13th August-2009 (14th being my 60th birthday).

The year 2009 also saw the release of my youngest daughter's book "RAW LIFE" which received huge honors. The book was based on randomly selected 10 personalities of Pakistan (including Kamila Shamsie, Hasan Zaidi, Vaneeza Ahmed...and others) my youngest did research on--and wrote the wonderful book which had two launches; at the Indus Valley School of Arts & Archietecture-Karachi and at Dubai by Shelters...in May. Thereafter--2009 also brought to us an honor for my same youngest when she was awarded FULLBRIGHT scholarship for two years post-grad studies in New York on Photography.
This is a good thread---reminded of ALLAH ALMIGHTY's blessings I and my family were bestowed with--during 2009 and the years earlier.
