I had just turned 18. I needed $200 for a cricket bat and the rest of the kit. Couldn’t bother the Bank of Ma n Pa, so decided to make the money over a weekend. A friend of mine told me about this construction company that paid $100 for a 10 hour shift and they gave temporary work on the fly. So, I did it. It was un-tiling an existing roof and then stapling new ones. It may not sound too bad but I had to get it done in 96 deg F weather with the sun blazing down.

Hmm...that's tough work.

In college, I used to work as a store manager and the work would ebb and flow with student moves. It was mentally taxing to juggle 10 things at the same time.

Working at Canada's wonderland when I was 16. I never wanted to work again.

i digged a grave for a employment agency who called in 18 of us to dig graves for couple funeral on a saturday ....since their tractor (that digs graves) died down.. lol so they got manual labour to dig em lol...... i went there and it was a SURPRISE! as soon as i got there....i bounced! other then that...i worked at a GARABGE RECYCLING plant..where u get all da recycled garbage that comes on the line and u wear BIG LONG GLOVES and mask and u sort out plastic vs aluminium cans etc... it was so gay but did it when i was 15-17 years old...oh well :) before that...when i was 12 ..use to deliver newspaper after schoool...and those years were the worst winter years...i was in grade 7 and like id get 30 bucks per week lol...but i did it ! I think all these odd jobs made me a strong person! Now when i look back in time..i feel proud of my self!

Summer of freshman year I did bar tending at wedding parties - two days and had to quit. Long looonngggg hours, screwed UP customers and a redneck boss. The third day they put me on meat carving and the fourth I quit for good.
