Yeah i'd want to learn about people of around the same timeline too. Namely the inhabitants of n.america pre columbus. Ive never really researched red indian tribes and clans but they seem to me to be very interesting people. Especially their religious connections with nature, animals, earth water etc i.e. how they respected and reveared all life as something precious.
Few years ago i came across a muslim native american on an islamic forum. Dont remember exactly but she mentioned that her ancestors had been muslims for centuries.. long before columbus. Makes you think columbus probably wasnt the first one to venture into the americas.
