Saw this a couple of months back I think… and my comment was: “If it’s Microsoft software and there aren’t any bluescreens of death, that’s progress alright! :D”.
Seriously though, it does look absolutely cool… but considering what we call “Information Overload” today, the world in the next 10 years will be much much more information driven. Good luck to us all - I’m sure we’ll adapt eventually… until the next main paradigm shift that is.

See that’s the thing. We found a way to get all the data to us. Now we’re trying to come up with ways to filter stuff and ways to make it all more streamlined.
My steps were that I would subscribe to everything and then I got overwhelmed. then I created some filters and then wasn’t getting all the things that I needed. So still trying to find a comfortable medium.

and can you imagine once the Internet of Things (web 3.0) becomes mainstream. Man, we’re going to be bombarded with data from our fridges, stoves, heaters, doors, faucets and what not. Like you said, the key is trial-and-error to get the right balance between being informed and being inundated unnecessarily.
