Re: The WORDS---------ALLAH and RABB
^ So are you trying to say that SS (Shah Sahib) made a contradiction or that his beliefs are in contradiction with what is stated in the above mentioned surah? You have brought up SS a few times in your threads and I wonder if you support him or are skeptical about him.
The words of SS that you have quoted do not show that he is preaching to the people to use the word Rabb instead of Allah. He is only sharing his own personal opinion/feeling of what makes him feel closer to Allah. To my knowledge there’s no prohibition in using the word, Rabb.
I cannot remember clearly, but I vaguely recall hearing in a lecture (I think) that the word Rabb also has connections to the word, father in the Arabic language. Someone who is knowledgable in classical Arabic may be able to offer more insight about this as I could be wrong. But a father is one who raises you…nurtures you..provides for you…has your best interest at heart…who loves you. Of course Allah is above parental bonds and is far superior to our parents, but perhaps SS feels more closer to Allah when using the word Rabb due to the meaning of Rabb.
Sir, Shah Sahib’s feelings are not cared for. It is matter of what Quran Says. If you kindly read 41;30-32 and 46:14 of Al-Quran , RABB is suggesting to AHLE IMAAN that Call your RABB-ALLAH. Why Shah Sahib is trying twisting, tampering and playing with words (GHAYRIYAT).
