Do you think it’s wrong to use the word “retard” as an insult to someone/something? I tend to use it quite a bit :sid: Where I live, the term haaaaaandicap is also a popular curse word. Come to think of it, you’re indirectly mocking the disabled people.
Re: The word retard
I use the word handicap a lot too. And I do realise that it is not good to do so.
I just called my sister handicap, because she wasn't listening.
ALLAH (SWT) maaf karain!
Re: The word retard
Yes it is wrong. I would suggest efftard...

^ Lol let's not get creative with the curse words in this thread!
Le Pakistan... and what do you think about the use of the word "gay" in this manner?
Re: The word retard
whats this thread about offensive insults…:nono:
btw…its just another word… when u call someone a ‘‘dog’’…u don’t mean to insult the dog…do u?
Re: The word retard
True but when you call someone a dog, you definitely don’t mean to say that being a dog is a good thing… it’s an insult… so when you use the word retard/handicap, aren’t you indirectly saying being disabled is also not a good thing? ![]()
Re: The word retard
yes.......
but you might be just saying that the person isn't mentally mature enough........
Re: The word retard
I dislike the word 'retard' although I did used to use it a lot. Another word was 'spastic' which is actually kinda insulting.
I spose people just put another meaning on it - like I use gay all the time, but I don't mean it as in 'oh that dress looks so homosexual'
Re: The word retard
Spacca is much better than retard.
All very inappropriate when referring to people who may experience learning, social or mental disabilities.
However, if your sister forgets to buy milk for your tea, ‘spacca’ is appropriate to use ![]()

I don't use the word 'gay' as a curse (or any other such word).
Or does the word 'kanjar' count? I use that sometimes. But I don't say it out loud infront of others.
