The word paradox...

Ok well im looking for a word to describe a person is two contradictory things…
So for instance someone who is neat yet untidy…
Someone who is nice yet horrible at the same time…
Someone who is extrovert yet somewhat reserved…
These are just a few examples…
I was wondering if the word paradox is the right word to describe someone with somewhat contradictory qualities about themselves or is there another word which is better suited to describing someone with internal contradictions…

the word paradox is used more for a statement or a phrase.. not to describe a person but it can be used as such

it can be used to describe something which is blatantly absurd, and contradictory....for example....the cold fire....the warm snow.....the heavenly devil....the generous jew.....the loving indian....you get the picture now don't you?

Paradox can be applied to a person, an event, a place...almost anything...

I think that people's moods are less of a paradox and more of... well yeah just moods.

paradox is also widely used in medicine :p

I don't think you could describe a person as a paradox. Maybe you're thinking contradictory.

Paradox = Getting burnt form ice. (which could actually happen)
Contradiction = Someone who is clever but not so clever. Or as you said nice and horrible at the same time.
