Re: The Winning Answer - Afshi's Question

OK so I'm usually the chapstick & Vaseline kinda girl, but I would really love to wear lipstick - especially to parties and events. I mean, the rest of my face is done up, but my lips are literally nude. But the problem is that every time I do wear lipstick, I always end up getting this white chappy line in the inner line of my lips, and the only way to take it off is with a tissue or wipe it off with my fingers.

How do I prevent this white line thingy from happening and have lipstick that would not get chappy and will not fade?

help this luscious lip wali out!

Re: The Winning Answer - Afshi's Question

Lol @ luscious lips wali.

You should scrub your lips so the lipstick goes even. And put on a lip primer before you put your lipstick on. Bare Escentuals has a good one.

Re: The Winning Answer - Afshi's Question

wow, have same problem...thanks

Re: The Winning Answer - Afshi's Question

Afshi , I have felt occasionally that when I use vaseline /chapstick regularly , it does leave a similar mark to my lipstick as well ... but when i havnt used chapstick for a few days , the lipstick remains fine .... if you are using chapstick , rub your lips well every night before going to bed to get the chapstick out fully. And for lipstick instead of using vaseline as a base , just choose a lipstick with high moisturizer Quantity ... softer lipsticks ...

Re: The Winning Answer - Afshi's Question

brush your lips with an old baby soft toothbrush to exfoliate them... and as was sugested, use a lippy with high moisture content.

Re: The Winning Answer - Afshi's Question

thanks for replies ladies!

I am picking Chicken Biryani for the winning answer. I'll be on the hunt for lipsticks with high moisture quantity. Any suggestions? Drug store or department store brand?

Re: The Winning Answer - Afshi’s Question

awww Afshi :hugz: .. thanks for that I feel so honoured :e6:

I use Maybelline and they have helped alot in giving me soft lips and never a line on the lip… You can look at options that suit you the most … doesnt matter drug store or store brand , go with something that suits your skin …

Also , when you buy the lipstick , make sure you try it on once and while putting it on , put a single layer or max two layers , instead of multiple layers … if that stll causes the line to appear , then that lipstick is not for you .. you need to look for other brands …
