Hello gups,
THis was the most difficult job for me to decide who wrote the best piece on the 14th of August. I believe any thing that you say and whatever you write for you dear homeland comes from inside your heart but then speaking strictly from professional point of view and judging each case on merit, I have arrived at the following conclusion.
The competition was intense and I got two entries for such a fantabolus event. I appreciate the time taken out by Mr/Ms Bewqoof and Mr. SadGuy to narrate their deepest feelings for their motherland in the form of poetry, just on my request. 
Mr. Sad’s beautiful rendition was chosen for the runners up while BewQoofs poetry ranked first amongst these two entries. A round of applause for both these guppies. 
I hope the citizenry of the poetry forum would not criticize my decision which I took after spending many sleepless nights worrying about who is more deserving of the No.1 slot.
