It can be the sound of a genuine concern. It could very well be the sound that sounds alarm of suspicion. More than often, it is out of care.

Does it not refers the care , people held for you ? They wonder if there is some thing biting and in curiosity they often end up asking ‘ what you doing at this hour ‘ question … Many a time , its just an opener for conversations ..
Its not like they are acting nosy and inquisitive …

if i do ask, it is out of genuine concern... its not bcoz naozobillah I suspect anything mischievous.... it often puzzles me how ppl can stay up till 3am in the morning and still manage to go to work/ uni, etc.
