^^ It may be important for the West to see if it could win. However from a Pakistani perspective, we'll lose big time with yet another war starting in our neighborhood. I am deeply saddened with the thoughts of innocent Iranians dying as a result of the $stupid actions by a bunch of Maulanas.

The US army is very good when fighting a war. Right now what they are doing is police work and maintaining internal security in Iraq. That is not the job of the army and thus we see why they are having problems. I dont think the US is interested in occupying or a regime change in Iran. It will attack Iran to capture or destroy its nuclear plants. They are capable of doing that without incurring any casualties.

TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iran is transferring its assets from European accounts to other foreign banks, a senior Iranian official said on Friday, in an attempt to pre-empt possible U.N. sanctions over its nuclear program.
The official confirmed comments from central bank governor Ebrahim Sheibani carried on Iran’s ISNA student news agency that Iran had started transferring funds.
“Yes, Iran has started withdrawing money from European banks and transferring it to other banks abroad,” he told Reuters on condition of anonymity.

The money is better of out of the west, they will only be frozen and Iran will not be allowed to have it. So it would be foolish not to remove these reserves!

You keep saying Iran should pull the money out of the west .... the question was, where will they move it to? what currency or form would you like them to hold it in and where?
This is the problem with mixing religious emotion with reality of the realm. I pointed out that if you take Europe and NA out and Australia is considered west in all respects, that leaves BRIC. R & C are communistic and money flow is one way. Which leaves Brazil and India, neither of whom have a hard currency.
So that leaves Iran or anyone who doesn't want to invest in the west, has to hold gold. And unless you trade western bursers or India, gold is just going to sit there.
Which is why Saudi govt and princes all have their money in wall street. So does China and Japan.

As far as i think, Russia, China and Pakistan(if Bush still have some shame left) will not let Invasion of Iran occur.
Russia: **Strategic Partner - Oil/Gas, as well as Anti-West attitude
**China: **Does not want another base for West in Asia, Also its trade with Iran is crucial to its booming demand.
**Pakistan(....): Iran, was the first (or second) country to accept Pakistan as a country. Invasion of Iran, would bring Pakistan on the Top of the list.
Also, Invasion would like cause Israel to become the strongest in Region after Russia and China.
