The week in retrospect...Security roundup

This week like many other weeks had its fair share of good and bad news. Let us look at how our resident analysysts view all such developments at the local front post 14th August celebrations

Thankfully there wasn’t any major mishap on the 14th of August.

1)The elections in Attock and Tharparkar
Shaukat Aziz as the new PM
the allegations that the elections weren’t fair
PPP-P people killed (political victimisation)

  1. Musharraf’s resolve to build larger dams, be it Basha or Kalabagh

  2. Jamat-e-Islami providing refuge to Al-Qaida militants

  3. Qari Noor’s death in police custoday

  4. the defamation Bill passed by the Assembly

Atmosphere is explosive to say the least.

The drive to capture terrorists is very dangerous. and (Allah na karey) may cause some mishap. :(
