I m thinking of buying new speakers for my car. Honda’s factory speakers suck. So far I only know of polk audio. One of my friend has it installed in her car and they sound superb. Any ideas, suggestions? infinity? kenwood? No more than $200-$300
My factory speakers are fine, but don’t sound as good as the one in my friends car.
Re: the weather is getting to me
for car audio, the sound basically depends on your amplifier, subwoofer and the tweeters beside the speakers. I am guessing you are not going to play the music out loud so whole neigbhour can hear so any decent amplifier can do. I know kenwood and boss have amazing subs and speakers. Boss might have some high end products over 300 range but you should be able to find within 250-300. i havnt heard audio from polk system yet.

pioneer all the way :k:
Re: the weather is getting to me
hmmmm As I have no clue as to how the whole system works. I just thought all I would have to do is put in new speakers and that will do the wonders. What's an amp and tweeter? What do they do? :(
Re: the weather is getting to me
well amp - amplifier boost up the Power (watts) coming out from your audio system. So for example, if your maximum power output is 120 watts and you have 600 watts amp, the output will be more powerfull. Tweeters are the opposite of subwoofers. Just like subs are used to play bass, tweeter plays those high frequency sounds such as you hear from strings instruments. But yeah you dont have to spend into all these, a nice set of speakers can change the quality. Pioneer is not bad either.
