The way out for Pakistan

Pakistan has b**een in turmoil for a considerable time. Ignorance, hatred and intolerance and the consequent desperation seem to be on the rise in all spheres our national life. The suffering of the innocent people at the hands of the militants, extremists and terrorists on the one hand is ripping apart the lives of our hapless people and on the other we are facing increasing international isolation, suspicion and humiliation. We are stuck between the proverbial ‘devil and the deep blue sea’. What is the way out of the tragic dilemma? (See below):

Re: The way out for Pakistan

why are you promoting your own blogs - which arent even on this GS website ...

Mods :D

Re: The way out for Pakistan

Four points: 1. Is it wrong? 2. Do you think my point is a promotion of my blog or a propagation of my ideas? 3. My blog points out the importance of EDUCATION, what then is wrong if that message reaches more and more people? 4. I don't know how to write a direct blog on this site so guide me and I'll do it here. Thanks

Re: The way out for Pakistan

Please wait for a moderator to come and assist you in all possible means by elaborating the Gupshup policies / further assistance to have your own blog at GS ....

Re: The way out for Pakistan

Alright. thanks.

Re: The way out for Pakistan

Education usually gets touted as the solution to rising hatred/extremism/intolerance - but I've seen so many educated people stopping at - "because Islam says so" without looking at alternative interpretations of Islam.

Saying education is the solution without going into what kind of education is useless - everyone knows education is important.

If in our Islamic Studies - Islamiyat - courses which are compulsory in school we add section in the syllabus which teach a more tolerant version of Islam - only then can we achieve a more tolerant society... I hope? I think.

Re: The way out for Pakistan

^ my bad you mention this towards the end of your post -

suggestions - how about some paragraphs dude? and better formatting for the blog - decent post though :D

Re: The way out for Pakistan

I completely agree with what you say. And that is why towards the end of my write-up I say, "T**his nation is really in need of revolutionary reforms in its education system, an education system that develops critical consciousness, enlightenment, peace, harmony and creativity of its youth". **You have a very valid point.

Re: The way out for Pakistan

Thanks for the suggestions. Could you elaborate what you mean by 'better formatting'?
