Coming to New York & L.A. 9/30/2005 It’s getting good reviews.
…
a Pakistani engineering student in Paris who is mistakenly apprehended for terrorist activities and forcibly interrogated by U.S. intelligence services. So shaken by the experience, he vows revenge and joins a terrorist cell based in New York City with plans to begin the ground war in the United States. On the morning the attack is due to take place, all members of the cell are arrested except Hassan and one other member. With no alternative and nowhere else to turn, Hassan must rely on the hospitality of his former best friend Sayeed, who is living the American dream with his family in New Jersey. Lying to his friend about why he is in the US, Sayeed helps Hassan get a job driving a livery cab which furnishes Hassan with the money he needs to start manufacturing explosives in the hope of achieving a smaller but still effective act of terror. With each day that passes, we witness Hassan’s religious beliefs as they clash headlong with his feelings for Sayeed’s sister Duri, Sayeed, and the rest of the family. What unfolds is a profound human and political drama as we explore Hassan’s motives as he struggles to carry out his mission.
Re: The War Within. a story of two Pakistani friends
I saw the previews, and it looks like home-made T.V. movie. Creative. ..and the actor appears to have Indian accent. Not that I am blaming but hey at least get a actor of same origin.
Re: The War Within. a story of two Pakistani friends
UTD: I don’t think so any Pakistani would become a terrorist if he was interrogated by US forces, everyday hundreds of innocent Pakistanis get interrogated by Pakistani Police but they don’t turn against the government.
PS: I am quite sure the US forces don’t use a “Chitther” for interrogation.:)
Re: The War Within. a story of two Pakistani friends
^ they are still annoying. They are investigating businesses where I live and its just extremely irratating cuz they have no basis for their investigation! Oh and if ppl were to start a war against them due to the racism, i wouldnt blame them!
Re: The War Within. a story of two Pakistani friends
^ I havent watched the full trailer. I closed it cz it was disturbing but does it project Pakistanis as the bad people? I mean, I thought the movie was about sympathizing with those Pakis who suffered the injustice? Is it not?
And I also saw a girl dancing in the trailer. Is the film based on facts or true story? Which street of Pakistan does that happen? I wanna go and watch too
