Why is that Muslims always feels the need to paint itself as the victim? As a group, we seem to selectively advocate those causes that can be cast in the light of ‘the oppression of Islam and Muslims at the hands of the West/Jews/Hindus/etc.’ When you bring up some of the terrible things Muslim society inflicts upon itself, it’s almost always met with a couple of empty comments of condemnation and nothing else.
Is Palestine an important human rights issue facing the Muslim world? No doubt. But why did it take so long for anyone to condemn what was going on in Darfur, and where was all the indignant Muslim condemnation of the Omar al-Bashir? Yes, whats going on in Kashmir is a crime, but does all that concern go when we talk about the quarter-million stateless refugees living in concentration camps in Bangladesh? The entire Muslim world continues to be sickened by the human rights abuses being carried out by American troops in Iraq. However, where were they when Saddam was systematically gassing the Kurdish population of Northern Iraq? Everyone knows about Bosnian Muslims suffering immensely under the hands of Serb fascists who slaughtered them en mass, and we do not hesitate to bring it up. Yet, where were these same Muslims when Islamic fundamentalists in Algeria instigated a civil war where they butchered 150,000 Algerians in the 1990s. Villages in the country were attacked and young girls as young as 8 had their throats slit in the name of our faith. Where was the outrage then? In Afghanistan, Muslims continue to cry oppression allegedly being committed by Western forces there, yet these same Muslims did not utter a word when their beloved Taliban oppressed women and butchered 35,000 Shi’a Hazaras under their rule. First-hand accounts of the Taliban’s brutality on Shi’as are everywhere in places such as Bamiyan and Mazar-i-Sharif. To make it worse, there are Pakistanis who think the Afghan Taliban are good, in spite of the fact that they were no different from the Serbs when they were killing Hazaras and raping their women. Mullah Dadullah was famous for his brutal subjugation of Hazaras. Muslims recently are decrying over the Swiss minaret ban, yet they ignore the appalling record of religious freedom in many Muslim countries, including Pakistan. Pakistanis also protest in the thousands over Gaza, yet little outrage is seen when Pakistan’s own Gaza in Parachinar continues unabated. Shi’as in Parachinar continue to be kidnapped and beheaded by Sunni militants allied with the Taliban yet it elicits again little outrage from the Pakistani public. Muslims in Europe continue to claim they will be the ‘next Jews’…while ignoring the fact that Jews in Arab countries were forcibly kicked out when Israel was created. They also ignore the treatment of Christians in Iraq and Egypt because in their mind they think they are supporting the Western world.
Not only is there general sense of complacency in the Muslim world, but when non-Muslims try to call attention to these issues, its nearly always met with something along the lines of, ‘oh, those people are just trying to make Muslims look bad’ or ‘yeah its bad, but its not nearly as bad as what they are doing,’ or ‘its out own internal issue, and we’ll deal with it on our own.’ There’s just such an absurd fascination with always being the victim of non-Muslim hegemony that all these ‘internal’ issues just happen…and hardly every elicit a response that would be comparable to any Muslim response to an act of non-Muslim aggression. It’s absolutely ridiculous.
What exactly is ridiculous is, you mixing a lot of different matters one after another and stepping them is a very self created essay.
You talked about the mentality of few Muslim people due to that the whole Muslim nation has to bear.
You are talking about civil war in Algeria.. can you talk about the history of so said CIVILIZED europeans and americans?
Nazi were also from non Muslims!!
You talked about Taliban's brutality regarding women. Talk about Europeans where women use to get a certificate from their church to be called as human.. and now when they have overcome the mind of people by running red light areas then these people are the head or organization about women rights.
If a person or a group of people create some problem in an area then it doesn't mean that they should be first labeled as Muslim and then the followers or a religion should be accused for the deed of one person or the group.
There has been gang rapes in France in russia and many other countries, many time. How many times were that debated?
you talked about Shia / Sunni conflict... talk about the conflict that were going on in cuba, in sirilanka in russian territories.
you talked about banning minaret ban.. At International I dont think there is anything that a civilized Muslim nation have done in a referendum. I never heared about a law at International level about the destruction of Churches. ( I am talking about the religions that were and are quoted as the followers of Holy books.)
Why is the problem created by a group is labeled first with religion, specially when its about Muslims or with a blur proof about Muslims.
Actually the thing is I dont participate in such discussion because there are few who never ever try to think the both side of mirror and you are one of them.
^you missed his point. He didn't say muslims are the only bad people but it is true that muslims always play the victim card and blame everything on christians jews and hindus.

I got exactly what his point is.. and I know what his point in his other threads / posts about this is.

So I get it. You hate Muslims. And apart from ranting on here, what is your fabulous and productive idea of improving matters? I'd like to hear it.
its not only muslims lol every person does that. Every person tries his/her best to paint him/her self as a victim. why are you just blaming muslims or pinning it on to muslims.
lol answer is very simple mate!
yes we have issues within the muslims world but that does not give license to western countries to interfere in our matters or just invade them and kill may be 1000 times more as saddam did. The reason why we musilms get angry about and blame western countries is how they exploit our local/internal problems for their own benefit.
if you were a muslim living in one of our muslim countries, you would have known that very well but then its a part of your job to dig up every tiny winy issue to make a point that muslims and islam is the only lonely reason for all the problems on planet earth. BTW how much do u get an hour or do you get paid by the post ? :aq:
Most Americans will vehemently condemn 9/11 (and indeed it is condemnable) but they wont be as vocal about condemning America’s foreign policies, support of Israelu terrorism or the gulf war which are the cause of 9/11 and “Islamic” terrorism. To take innocent human lives is wrong regardless of whether it’s Iraqi civillians being carpet bombed or American citizens in tower blocks.
The media will happily accuse the rock throwing Palestinian kids of being terrorists for being angry about their land being stolen from them but heavily armed Israeli soldiers go unquestioned for their murders, rapes and violations against humanity.
Americans don’t want Iran or Pakistan to posess nuclear weapons yet America was the first and only country ever in the world to drop a nuclear bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Are Japanese lives insignificant compared to American or Israeli lives?
Hindus will happily bash extremist Muslims but even moderate Hindus will ignore the Vishwa-Hindu-Parsad as a harmless joke because they didn’t burn Hindus but only them Muslims (people are only sensitive when it’s their own group which is the target).
One Muslim steps slightly out of line and say something remotely racist/facist and it’s pasted all over our British media frontpages and the whole Muslim community (including moderates like you) is held accountable but incidents of BNP/EDL racism/facism such as arsoning Mosques, vandalising Muslim cemeteries, breaking Muslim house windows and killing Asian/Muslim youth hardly makes it to the back page.
Jews will bash Muslims for being intolerant because of a few misintrepretations of Koran and Sonnah yet ignore all the facism/racism in the Torah and Talmud.
I think all people only care when their kind is the victim and we need to change that mentality if we’re sincere about a better world.
People have the might is right mentality, jis ki laathi uss ki bhains.
I always find it strange to see one religion criticizing another.
The goal of radical christians and muslims is the same, to end secularism and establish a government of god's laws.
Sadly whoever might triumph will inflict their interpretation of god or allah's will on the rest of us.
Whether you believe in parting the sea, raising the dead or riding a flying horse, please keep it out of government.
There is no room for superstitious nonsense in the rule of law.
