The value of this world when compared to the next

Every soul will taste death, and you will only be given your [full] compensation on the Day of Resurrection. So he who is drawn away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has attained [his desire]. And what is the life of this world except the enjoyment of delusion.

[Quran 3:185]

Narrated Anas:

**The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "A single endeavor (of fighting) in Allah’s Cause in the afternoon or in the forenoon is better than all the world and whatever is in it.

A place in Paradise as small as the bow or lash of one of you is better than all the world and whatever is in it.

And if a houri from Paradise appeared to the people of the earth, she would fill the space between Heaven and the Earth with light and pleasant scent and her head cover is better than the world and whatever is in it." **

[Sahih Al-Bukhaari Hadith No. 2796]

Al-Mustaurad bin Shaddad (May allah be pleased with him) reported:

Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “This world (i.e., its pleasures and duration) in comparison with the Hereafter is (similar to the amount of water) one gets when he puts his finger in the sea. Let him then see what it returns with”.

[Sahih Muslim]
