You do know that the term “Doctor” was only originally used for people who had received a doctorate degree (so people who had done a PhD) The term wasn’t used for medical doctors until much later as they used to be called physicians…so they’re not “fake doctors”
Nadz, like others have said it depends on what the PhD is and what he’s looking to do after, some can definitely help improve prospects while others won’t have such a great benefit. Does he really need to answer to relatives about what he wants to do?
