burqaposh, you'll be surprised how many Mullah's look down on things like cuttlery or wearing a tie and they give ridiculous reasons, it's sad how many people fall for what they say. ....
That's the way to go. Best wishes.
.......I tell the Mullah's straight up, no Mullah is a guide for me, my Guide is God and His Messenger (PBUH), if a Mullah says something with Daleel (Proof) from God and Hid Prophet (PBUH) then I'll accept it "Sar Aankho Par" and I'll restpect that Mullah for showing me the light but they can take their personal views somewhere else and don't have a right to pass it iff as Islam.
....
That's right.
We all should remember that certain things of today's lives will not be found in Ahadees.
Thus we must look to other societies of today to find the solutions. It is not that Ahadeesh nauzbillah are incomplete or something. The issue is that ahadees were written in a life that existed 1400 years ago.
And back then, the systems were much simpler. Let's take the case of a very basic necessity i.e. water.
From Hazrat Adam till now, people need clean water to use daily and they need a way to get rid of some of that water after use. Thus the supply of clean water and disposal of sewage is the key to survival of any society.
If you go back to the life of Makkah, there were no water pipes bringing clean water to every home and taking away sewage to a treatment plant. So you will not find any hadees dealing with water system. Instead you have to go to Western societies to figure out the best way to deal with a simple thing like water.
The same thing is true with food. it was much simpler back then. So you will not find many ahadees that can guide you in food production. Thus you have to go to the Western countries to learn about genetic engineering and other methods of modern food production.
If the basic necessities like food and water cannot be governed by ahadees, then you can well imagine how many other things of modern life would be absent from there.
And that's just OK. Ahadees represent human knowledge and wisdom as it existed in 7th century.
Both Quran and Ahadees urge us to learn new things and adapt to new challenges. Thus the Muslim youth should go forth with optimism, and quest for leaning and adopting new things. All the while retaining the basic unchanged values like speaking truth, being tolerant, being honest, and being clean and modern.
