Re: The US Foriegn Service

MV, the milkman however was a stud…

Now, Having heard that CMs daddy is in the Foreign Service of some other country, how do we get around THIS little problem (ignoring for a minute his anti-american hostility)

Security Clearance Guidelines

Foreign Influence

The Concern. A security risk may exist when an individual’s immediate family, including cohabitants, and other persons to whom he or she may be bound by affection, influence, or obligation are not citizens of the United States or may be subject to duress. These situations could create the potential for foreign influence that could result in the compromise of classified information. Contacts with citizens of other countries or financial interests in other countries are also relevant to security determinations if they make an individual potentially vulnerable to coercion, exploitation, or pressure.

Conditions that could raise a security concern and may be disqualifying include:

a. An immediate family member, or a person to whom the individual has close ties of affection or obligation, is a citizen of, or resident or present in, a foreign country;

b. Sharing living quarters with a person or persons, regardless of their citizenship status, if the potential for adverse foreign influence or duress exists;

c. Relatives, cohabitants, or associates who are connected with any foreign government;

d. Failing to report, where required, associations with foreign nationals;

e, Unauthorized association with a suspected or known collaborator or employee of a foreign intelligence service;

f. Conduct which may make the individual vulnerable to coercion, exploitation, or pressure by a foreign government;

g. Indications that representatives or nationals from a foreign country are acting to increase the vulnerability of the individual to possible future exploitation, coercion or pressure;

h. A substantial financial interest in a country, or in any foreign owned or operated business that could make the individual vulnerable to foreign influence.

Re: The US Foriegn Service

How about being a virgin? that should send an alarm...

Re: The US Foriegn Service

It is dang unnatural to be a virgin in the US. That is what fraternities and kegs are for....

Re: The US Foriegn Service

OG:
I'm really starting to worry about you. You must have spent hours upon hours researching CMs prior posts so that you can "out him" to the DHS. Now you're researching Security Clearance Guidelines. If you become a Quranic scholar, I'm sure you'll find some scripture that would disqualify him from serving in the capacity of donut orderer and coffee server in a Kaffir government.

Re: The US Foriegn Service

No, apparantly the little one is really one of us! He was born here. So, he should have no problem reciting the Pledge of Allegiance right?

Here we go, repeat after me…

“I pledge allegiance to my Flag and the Republic for which it stands-
one nation indivisible-with liberty and justice for all.”

All together now!

MV, I was in the US government during the Iran Hostage crisis. Even then they were pretty dang touchy on your views, and security risks. Think 9/11 loosened 'em up any? (Used to be that you had to look it all up in the Federal Register, now it is just a couple of clicks.)

Re: The US Foriegn Service

I think you need a refresher on teh pledge of allegiance OG. Are you a Paki?

Re: The US Foriegn Service

And you, my dear sir, had killed him in Lebanon and got him kidnapped in Iraq… hypothetically speaking, ofcourse. There are some serious anger issues here.

Anyway, Ohioguy, I am glad your googling skills are still second to none :k: Now, lets get off CM, and into the question of a muslim of Pakistan origin. I guess, you will say they will never get a high enough security clearance to be anything important anyway, so its a moot point.

A friend of mine (Pakistani parents, but born American) had his entire education in US, did his Masters from MIT and worked for Lockheed-Martin for several years. He then quit and is now working for a multi-national IT firm (Fortune-100). He told me that there are certain security clearances that requre your entire family to be living in the US, and so it became a waste of time for him to work at L-M, even though he was one of their brightest engineers, as displayed by various commendations and stuff he still has. So, I guess this is a two-way street, after all.

Re: The US Foriegn Service

Yes, I am a Jew/Indian/Christian Republican Fox-lovin’ Born again Paki… And I lifted that version of the pledge from the State Dept web site. That is the version every new immigrant must learn and recite to become a citizen… Took the God out didn’t they?

Faisal, my next door neighbor is putting on an addition to his house. He is an engineer at the NUWC. (http://www.nuwc.navy.mil/). He is not allowed to use a wireless computer hook up at his house as the encryption is not strong enough, so he had to wire the whole house with ethernet. They are real serious about security these days.

Anyone applying for security clearances must meet the “foreign influences” tests. To even be a civil servant at the State Department, (working on computers, a receptionist, copyboy) you must have clearances. Do you think that new applicants who are from Pakistan get an extra look during the security process? Damn Skippy. Big towers falling down tend to do that…

Re: The US Foriegn Service

I have nothing against you, but could you stop acting like an arrogant prick and take your “I am better than you stinky brown negro Pakis” attitude out of here?

Thank You.

-MGMT.

Re: The US Foriegn Service

Love you too buddy. :kiss:

Re: The US Foriegn Service

CM,

Congratulations on starting such a fine thread. By mere act of initiating this thread, You have manged to torch the S of Storch and ruptured the O-ring of the OhioGuy.

Keep us apprised of your progress. Every note from you would serve as a spoonful of cayenne peppers in their smoldering buns.

Have you thought about running for the governer of some US state? :D

Re: The US Foriegn Service

CM's is a Pakistani, the current bosom buddy to the U.S. and this makes him attractive.

Accepting a job would require him to work for the good of the U.S. if he is thinking about taking this job it's an assumption that he does indeed support the U..S. but takes issue with some polices.

Adding an additional Pakistani would be a good thing, maybe it would allow the U.S. to make some headway into extraditing Khan to the U.S. :)

CM, when asking Pakistanis what they think ask the ones applying for visas.

Re: The US Foriegn Service

Conclusion: OG and MQ both love CM

hahahahahahahaha

Re: The US Foriegn Service

Hey what does it take to get top secret clearance?

Re: The US Foriegn Service

Your Employer either the gov’t or a private sector companies working for and in conjuction with the government (hint: defence contractors) have to sponsor you for the secret and/or top secret clearance. The seceret clearance process usually takes about an year, could be longer, and they hire somebody to go around digging all the info/secrets about you…That person interviews all your friends and acquaintances and etc…

Re: The US Foriegn Service

Haha.. I can imagine a desi guy applying and the investigators wanna talk to his other desi friends! Paranoia would go through the roof.
