What does it all have to do with price of onion in China?

We are not talking about their internal politics here but about their foreign policy. And when it comes to foreign affairs then American media slavishly follow the government lines.
It is laughable to think of American media as free when it comes to foreign policy.

US has pretty well defined Elite, and anybody willing to promote US narrative and the interests of the predominantly WASP Elite, will be awarded with power and prestige. Those who do not tow the line, are sidelined and forgotten.
