I do not mean all politicians are like that, but there are The US do have their faults but they are highlighted because their media is quite free to report the mistakes. Politicans from other countries like India and Pakistan also have similar traits but through corruption and control manage to hide it.

What does it all have to do with price of onion in China?

We are not talking about their internal politics here but about their foreign policy. And when it comes to foreign affairs then American media slavishly follow the government lines.
It is laughable to think of American media as free when it comes to foreign policy.
