logout right after u post. do re-read it...that might help
its a natural thing not to be satisfied with one's writings. i'm a poet by the way and i write my she'r and then i re-write it again n again in order to get that perfect she'r and then at the end of the day i've to accept the best i could write.**
Re: The Urge
This is the pendulum effect:
... Done something good - Wanna share - share in blog - get recognition - shy of recognition - don't wanna share anymore - delete blog - feel like doing something good - ...
and so on ...
It's not about writing the perfect blog ... its about writing a blog which is too close to your life and letting people into your private window and the reflection in the need to be private that causes the fluctuations.
The cure to this is to not view it as a disorder. Its just the way some people are.
Re: The Urge
The Prophet(SAW) said: "I am leaving you two things and you will never go astray as long as you cling to them -- they are the Book of Allah and my Sunnah." [Reported by Al- Haakim - Sahih].

Re: The Urge
i think it is not just the blog, but rather that you care too much on what other people may say or think about you in general.
simple logic - people who talk behind your back will do it always. it has nothing to do with yourself per se. if a situation would require or if they would reach an impass they would even flaunt the pants of their parents in bazaar and make fun of it. usually the more good you are the more desperate and jealous they'll become. if someone doesn't have the guts of face-to-face confrontation then s/he is not worth your attention, or even worse, your worry. you can make fun of anything possible in this world, you don't need to be extraordinary gifted to gossip. the difference lies in whether you are an insecure, characterless maniac hiding yourself behind primitive sarcasms or someone confident and secure with herself. the latter does not need to gossip, make fun of others or simply put them down. and there is a big difference between being reasonably critical, having a critical opinion, being funny and witthy with a fine sense of humor and the blabbering of a loony bin. treat them like you would treat a barking dog down the street. ignore them. don't feed them with your attention. enjoy your life, make your blog, talk about nonsense - who cares. as long as you don't harm or offend other people you don't need to worry about anything.
yours sincerely,
