the upday downday diet

hey guys jst to let u know about this diet.

its really cool. i’ve been on this diet for like 6 days and i’ve lost 4 pounds!!!

its very interesting its like there r updays when u can eat watever u like. yeah u heard me right anything u want. and on down days u jst have to consume 25% of ur daily calorie requirement.

for example if ur calorie requirement is 2,000 per day then on updays u have to have normal meals like u do regularly but u can not over eat. on downdays u have to consume jst 25% i.e 500 calories only. u can have 5 small meals containing 100 calories each during the day.

it works even for foody like me. i knw it sounds nuts but i dont see anything extreme in it. its semi-fad but its not like ur gonna die straving and give up after few days cuz u can have actual meals FOOD every other day.

did u really lose 4 pounds! well done!

but doesnt it lower your metabolism though? did u excercise?

No offense but this sounds like a very unhealthy approach to eating. 500 calories a day is not recomended by any doc even if you binge the day before.

I agree with njgal. Wouldn't you rather eat like 1300 calories each day instead of 500 one day and 2000 the next?

i knw its like semi fad diet and im jst givng it a try but it works. sure im not gonna stick to it for long jst wanted to see if it worked or not :cb:

but still its better than most fads like cabbage soup and others :smiley:

What kinda meal consists of 100 calories only?

umm small meals. u knw like mix and match things so they can reach 100 cals. for example an apple with peanut butter and few berries. they r 100 cals.

Losing weight should not be about deteroriating your health any in way.

Eating improperly can have major side effects such as malnutrition , dehyration. My friend was doing crazy exercising and dieting (eating crackers one day and eating normaly one day and running for 50 minutes a day)

She ended up passing out and going to the hospital for 3 days.

Since this is the HEALTH forum and not the SKINNY forum :) I thought I would encourage losing weight in a healthy way

i think your metabolism is fast to burn so you lose easy without any exercise. now i could not exercise for a week due to ache back, shoulder, and knee also feet (bend pain). so i am resting and no exercise. i eat a lot of foods and drink a lot of water. rare drinks fizzy drinks only 2 or 3 times a month! but chocolate! i eat them daily.
the only way to lose weight is eat completely heatlhy foods (no sugar, no fat foods) i find it hard so i giev up.
