Who here believes in the "if something is going to happen, the universe will work together/conspire to make it happen, or not" line? It doesn't even have to be anything major, even little things? Not to be confused with kismat.
I have noticed a few things happening ever since my whole divorce scenario (especially at work) and it just got me thinking that's all.
I think I first came across that concept in the movie, Om Shanti Om. And then I came across it in the book, The Alchemist, by Paul Coehlo. It’s based on the Law of Attraction.
I did go through a phase where I read up quite a bit on the Law of Attraction even though I was always skeptical about it from the onset. The reason for my being wary of this law is that it raises the question, “What place (if any) does Divine Wisdom have in this equation?” According to this law, we are the ones who attract either good or bad things to us. I do believe that working hard and taking practical measures plays a huge role in what we attract. But at the same time, I don’t believe Allah is a genie. A genie gives you exactly what you want because a genie does not have wisdom. Allah, on the other hand, knows the Ghaib (the future) and He exercises wisdom in his decisions about what we are to get, or not get, or lose, etc. And one of the hardest parts of faith is maintaining tawakkal in Allah when we can’t make sense of things.
the universe conspiring to make something happen, I did not necessarily good or bad, I just meant more in terms of, different.
For ex, if there is a person who avoided you (for unknown reasons) up until now, and then all of a sudden goes completely out of their way to tell you something nice about yourself, extremely random and unexpected. This raises a question as to why. what is the universe telling you?
that makes sense, maybe Allah wanting this person to overcome something within them. this was a real-life example btw, I just didn’t go into super details, but the jist of what said previously is enough I think.
signs are all around us.. I need to become more perceptive in that department. I haven’t alwaaaaays been one to think too much into signs or even notice them to begin with.
I guess what I am saying is that I have started to notice certain things happening to me after my situation. I wonder if that had to happen in order for these new things to happen ?
Yes I do believe in that. Assuming your life is pure, God’s angels knew what anyone had for you inside their hearts. They wanted to bring something better to you & remove what might not have been good for you in the long run. Just keep praying, keep saying azkaar. Things will be more clear in the days to come.
yes Figment, a part of me is in total agreement about bringing something better (trying anyway).. one thing I didn’t understand sorry, what is rating? you said to keep rating ?
I heard somewhere if your intentions are pious, something good will eventually come out…forces of nature help you out but you don’t have shaour to understand it..
Law of attraction is a significant thing, and definitely works. But you’d see how most people are unable to carry the persistence/determination all the way through.
Taking into consideration the Divine Wisdom and Allah’s will, it’s as simple as this:
“… But your wishing will not avail unless Allah, the Lord of the Universe, so wishes.” [81:29]
In other words, tum chah bhi nahi sakte, agar Woh na chahe.
First of all, I’m sorry to hear about your incident.. May ALLAH bless you with patience and best life onwards, amen..
It’s a nice and lengthy topic to start.. Well, ALLAH has planned everything and so it’s going on and on.. HE doesn’t need help of the universe to make it happen.. but it do need certain things to make it happen.. like if you’re going to become billionaire tonight, money won’t appear in your cupboard miraculously.. “The fastest way is a lottery or a gift”.. otherwise you have to earn it, which takes time.. Similarly, if you see around, everytime a person dies, there’s usually a “bahana” behind it.. “And sometimes there is no bahana at all”.. but actually his/her time is up.. So if something is going to happen in your life, it can happen directly or indirectly.. but universe on its own is a thing or piece, driven by ALLAH’S command.. so pin pointing or acknowledging that the universe helps is not right.. instead, We’ve to maintain our imaan and belief on ALLAH and Do pray for his blessings, forgiveness and elevation of our imaan..
