Indeed.

Aitzaz Ahsan has since repeated his stance (despite MMA denials) that that clause can actually be used by Musharraf to stay on as COAS if he just gets a simple majority in parliament. That taken with the 'collusion' of the PPPP in the government getting the NSC passed in parliament, shows that they are in effect recognising that Musharraf is here to stay for years to come, and it is better they start slowly coming on side. The PPPP (or whatever is left of it) is splintering all over with resginations and such, and it's alliance with the PML (N) is barely holding together, so I believe that they will eventually be forced to reach an accomodation with the government. Just like the agreement with the MMA, it will be on Musharraf's terms. :)

Well thankyou for that contribution, now we all know where you stand comparing, Mushy to two of the most horrible people in Pakistan's history.. they were no more then traitros who emptied the national coffers and created personal strom troopers to protect them self from the ensuing rebellion, one such force was then absorbed my the newmilitary institution and was created as the national urban anti terrorist units called Elite Force. "Black Clad Cops"...

Mushy Rules!
Pakistan Zindabad!

What do you think is the primary responsibility of the elite force? It is to protect Western diplomates. The American ambassador has a permanent force that goes everywhere with her outside the embassy.

Sadly, I have to agree. We are a nation of lotas. The spirit of freedom is dead.

So your saying we should leave these high risk targets out in the open? Listen IMad i am a Risk Management Consultant and help protect people for a profession, and your above post made no sense at all!

Its a governments duty to protect foreign ambassadors and sensitive targets, such as the high security accorded to the indian cricket team 1000 troops and countless cops... what do you say to that?
