The Ultimate Taraweeh thread

Since there are lots of concerns of our Shia fellows regarding the Taraweeh and its origion and the number of Rakah and the Imam lead taraweeh and its being Bida etc etc. All these questions have been answer by several people on this board. I will later post the links to those threads where the answers are.

My question is…

Do shiaz pray taraweeh?
If yes are they 20 in numbers?
If not why?
Is this because Omer R.A set 20 rakahs with the advise of Shura (including Ali R.A)?

And I tell you that I have another question depending on your answers here. That will not be off topic but rather logically relevant to your the debate.

  2. Qur'an and Sunni Hadith Literature
  3. Qur'an and Shia Hadith Literature
  4. Shia and Sunni Hadith Literature
  5. Scholarly rulings based on what Islamic rulers subsequent to the Prophet did
  6. Other.
