I know of this hadees which is relevant to some other ocasions and other purposes.
This mullah is truley misguided. Khaliffah a fasaqeen.
BUKHARI HADITH: Volume 7, Book 62, Number 172:
Narrated Jabir:
I was with Allah's Apostle in a Ghazwa, and when we returned, I wanted to hurry, while riding a slow camel. A rider came behind me. I looked back and saw that the rider was Allah's Apostle . He said (to me), "What makes you in such a hurry?" I replied, "I am newly married." He said, "Did you marry a virgin or a matron?" I replied, "(Not a virgin but) a matron." He said, "Why didn't you marry a young girl with whom you could play and who could play with you?" Then when we approached (Medina) and were going to enter (it), the Prophet said, "Wait till you enter (your homes) at night (in the first part of the night) so that the ladies with unkempt hair may comb their hair, and those whose husbands have been absent (for a long time) may shave their pubic hair." (The sub-narrator, Hashim said: A reliable narrator told me that the Prophet added in this Hadith: "(Seek to beget) children! Children, O O Jabir!")

Hmm I don't think what the mullah is saying is authentic as zina is a big sin in islam. What Mirch posted is a correct hadith in regards to warning your spouse of your arrival.

That hadith is saying "Wait till you enter ... at night" ... This is more about the act of conjugal relations rather than the "home" ...
It is saying do not be all grimy and hairy and ladies all messy - and hasty to get it on ... be clean first ... It is a simple piece of advice/instruction from RasoolAllah (SAW) that has gone haywire ...
If it is interpreted the way it is being presented here even then - the stretch of it being around the idea of "call your wife before hand" - as if telephones were invented then ... No ...
Entering the homes would be necessary - there would be no way the wives would know their men had arrived until they entered the homes ... They would enter their homes and not engage in sex ... until ... they are clean and the proof for that is - men would have to shave - where if not in their homes? On the street?
The poor rationale of some people is amazing ...
