the ultimate BIRYANI thread

:hugz: As soon as I start cooking again, I am gonna try Shab e Hijr’s recipe as well.

Fizza4u shared it above. It’s the second recipe she shared. Let me know if you find it.

Re: the ultimate BIRYANI thread

Bint e naeem, can you post a link to your recipe please.

nevermind, found it..
will try it soon, have been looking for a good biryani recipe for ages.

the ultimate BIRYANI thread

I ate a Bihari recipe for biryani that had mini koftas in it. It was delicious. Please could somebody share that if they have it.

Re: the ultimate BIRYANI thread

Does anyone have a recipe for kofta biryani!!!

Re: the ultimate BIRYANI thread

Sara I’ll ask my mom. She’s known for her kofti biryani.

Re: the ultimate BIRYANI thread

Simple replace meet with kofta!

Re: the ultimate BIRYANI thread

my mum make awsum kofta biryani, for years I only ate kofta biryani no chicken or other, by the way I am having hyderabadi biryani tonight in dinner :yummy:

Re: the ultimate BIRYANI thread

I have made biryani with Koftas and meat together, bake Koftas separately and mix before layering, now if you make jambalaya Biryani that is another ball game. You can also substitute Koftas with halal sausage.

Re: the ultimate BIRYANI thread

Share your recipe please, I marinate my meat but I bake it to prevent salmonella because meat needs to reach a certain temperature.

Re: the ultimate BIRYANI thread

^ my mum only add koftas, make its gravy and then give layers and then dum

Re: the ultimate BIRYANI thread

I’ve never heard of a single person getting salmonella from making Hyderabadi style biryani…just because it’s called “kachay goshth ki biryani” doesn’t mean it stays kacha or doesn’t cook to temperature…if that were the case, 99.9% of my khandaan would be in and out of the ER on a weekly basis

Re: the ultimate BIRYANI thread

That is hilarious… and the way you defended the sacred kache hhosth ki biryani. My dadi’s rooh can now rest.
Seriously everyone needs to eat it once in their life. It’s AWESOME!!!

Re: the ultimate BIRYANI thread

^ true tht, it was awsum, I ate for the first time :yummy:

Re: the ultimate BIRYANI thread

Minimum internal temperature that chicken has to be cooked is 165F next time please put a meat thermometer in there to check, I bet it wont show 165, you are going to bake it with parboiled rice anyways, If you pre bake without rice what difference can it make, no one I fed it could tell the difference. Try I before you knock t…Haha, seriously though I am a scientific cook and have hung around celebrity chefs.

Re: the ultimate BIRYANI thread

thanks for the lesson Master Chef, but I’m well versed in internal cooking temps and know my way around a kitchen :chai:

Now my friend James is a master chef, do I sense a Biryanni Cook off challenge.

Re: the ultimate BIRYANI thread

Mouth is watering. I have never made good biryani. Will try something from here.

Re: the ultimate BIRYANI thread

I tried shab’s recipe. It was delicious although a bit too spicy for me. I think I have finally found my biryani recipe
