The Torched Shaheed-e-Millat Building In Islamabad

I dont know if you have seen this building, but anyone living (or lived) in Islamabad would recall it since it was amongst the oldest building in Islamabad. The sad thing is when it caught fire, it contained many important MOST (ministry of science and tech) documents, pertaining to Pakistani studying abroad on scholarships.

Abdali, this happened about a month back...

Everyone in Islamabad/Pindi knows about this... As you can see this building is located in the Parliament Road, opposite to the Blue Area. The sad part is, that this building was so old. I have lived in isb all my life, and I recall the countless times I have seen this building while passing through... It was like a part of me.

This incident has also sought to have brought some changes to the Fire Department of Islamabad/Pindi. At that time the squad was not equipped with a ladder system that would allow them to get to the top and take out the fire. However, it is believed that now they are importing new equipment to deal with fires in taller buildings.
