[Pickthal 12:41] O my two fellow-prisoners! As for one of you, he will pour out wine for his lord to drink; and as for the other, he will be crucified so that the birds will eat from his head. Thus is the case judged concerning which ye did inquire.

The word sahibi (my companion) has been used by Yusuf(AS) to address the two fellow-prisoners who were polytheists. Likewise it is not necessary that all the companions of the Holy Prophet(PBUH&HF) were sincere believers. Many of them were hypocrites.

Well, the most obvious reason is that the thread had gone into a complete violation of the moratorium imposed to avoid sectarian discussions.

The second reason is that kissi ko taufeeq na hui to send a PM to the moderator ke ji thread is violating the rules. Sabb yahan beth ke mods ki burraiyaaN kartay rahay, to the point, that it was not feasible to split irrelevant replies only. Hence the whole thread was trashed.

And lastly, if you have such an itch to discuss shia-sunni issues or whether companions were hypocrites or what have you, search the net for some other forum that allows that and go post there. Idher hamara sarr na khao. Meherbaani.
