The things in life that give you the most pleasure?

For me they are my best friend, books, and nature. Hehe the thing I would most enjoy would be my best friend and me sitting in some mountaneous really green area that’s very isolated and we’re sitting on a verandah and it’s raining very hard with lots of thunder and lightning and I’m reading a huge fat book and talking to my best friend

Readin your posts Miss. Sarah. The happy ones. :sunny:

nature ... strolling in a park ...

and include reading in it too ... the librarian usually have to ask me to get out :o .... bookworm ....

nature… away from the city, in the wild, fishing/hunting, and getting wet in the rain… with close friends and family… they dont like getting wet though :bummer: but its fun preventing urself from getting wet when there isnt much shade there

how can u read a book n talk at the same time :hoonh:

reading, being around family/friends, talking to students :hula:

Sahar, have you read the "Rule of Four" byt hese two Princeton guys. I am half way through it, and it might be the best thing I have read since Caleb Carr's Alienist.

Matty -- Nope. What's it about? I am currently in the middle of a mad hunt for Angel's and Demons by Dan Brown (it's lying somewhere around the house). Last pleasure reading I did was his Davinci Code. The next on my list is The Eight by Neville.

Reading Quran after Fajr prayer, when I say the prayers that is.

I read all three Dan Browns a few months ago. Angels and Demons is quite good. Deception point is a bit different but the DaVinciCode was the best.

This book is about present day archeo/crypto/biblio sleuths whoare writing their senior thesis at Princeton (you remember those ghastly things ) on a Renaissance piece by an Author unknown called Hypternomachi something…it is amazing…

Don't know why everybody likes the rain so much. You should try living here for a year, we have had constant deluge for a month solid now.

I like the summer and plenty of hot weather...or failing that, really severe snow storms in the winter are also good. They brighten the place up.

Matsui – That sounds pretty good. I’ll make it another summer book. And, yes I remember the thesis – except in an attempt to take the trauma out of it, the faculty insisted on calling it a “senior tutorial.” Still pretty darn stressful.

Kaleem – That’s a good one. Best way to start the day in peace and with a purpose.

flowers :)

and books

Seeing my boys enjoy life and learning new things. My husband (everything about him ...usually!) Going on a camping trip w all "the boys".

spending time wid kids (babies) n morning walks..

Also hearing a good song for the 2nd or 3rd time, especially in the car. First time you don't quite appreciate it fully and after hearing it 3 times it starts going downhill.

sunrise and sunsets - watching them. Beautiful :)
Also watching God's nature - birds, flowers, butterflies - gives me pleasure.
Recently I saw the sunset from the plane and the sun was below the clouds so it looked like the clouds were cradling a red ball kind of like a mother holding a baby :) I love the colors the sky turns during sunrise and sunset.
Of course having someone to share them with!

Sahar do let me know how this one is! I've read the Davinci code and couldn't put it down. I've heard angels and demons is not as exciting as Davinci.
