Phaedra Cinema has picked up North American rights to Santosh Sivan’s ``The Terrorist,‘’ an Indian film starring Ayesha Dharkar , that debuted at Sundance film festival earlier this year. Phaedra plans a Jan. 14 Gotham bow, followed by openings in other major markets.
The picture is inspired by events surrounding the assassination of Indian prime minister Rajiv Gandhi in TamilNadu by a Srilankan Tamil suicide bomber.
