Re: The Terrifying Possibility Of A Saudi Arabia-ISIS Merger

I am waiting for the day when Isis turns over to Saudis.

Re: The Terrifying Possibility Of A Saudi Arabia-ISIS Merger

Is that why the sheikhs in Saudia Arabia are now finally issuing fatwas against terrorism?

Re: The Terrifying Possibility Of A Saudi Arabia-ISIS Merger

@Shamraz
and in the other thread you were saying it's Saudi that's funding ISIS.

The mercenaries may just have turned on the masters here.

Re: The Terrifying Possibility Of A Saudi Arabia-ISIS Merger

does the host of this show work for FOX News?

the author is an image of his name...Crooke = crook

the host is spilling poison against Islam...he is neither against Saudis or ISIS...they are against Islam.

if 19 0ut of 20 hijackers of 9/11 were Saudis then why did they attack Iraq and AfGhanistan?

please do NOT call me an ISIS sympathizer...no way, they are as criminal as TTP or any other terrorist organization.

Re: The Terrifying Possibility Of A Saudi Arabia-ISIS Merger

Saudi didn't create or fund ISIS. However, they've been supporting Al Nusra and other salafis groups, ISIS is a split group of salafi jihadi groups so we may say that Saudi indirectly supported ISIS but then so did The West.

1- let's differentiate between Saudi Arabia and Saudis.

2- Saudi Arabia and it's support of extremist wahabist and salafist groups as well as export of that ideology and financial support of uber right winger salafist/wahabist groups directly led to ISIS. It wasn't 5 Boy Scouts sitting around and had a eureka moment. These were people brainwashed already by the Saudi indoctrination, were part of dodgy salafist and wahabi groups and then went on to create ISIS, then attracting all the other ignorant people influenced by the indoctrination and from ranks of these feeder groups.

3- Saudi citizens are funding ISIS and its feeder groups. They had been actively funding taleban, various lashkars in Pakistan and al Qaeda.

Re: The Terrifying Possibility Of A Saudi Arabia-ISIS Merger

Probably true but then some citizens doesn’t mean the whole country…like US supports Israeli army, fully and wholly.

About Saudi indoctrination, well the west should ask them to stop opening madrasahs and stop selling them arms.

“Does Cameron’s silence have anything to do with the fact that under his premiership export licences worth £3.8bn have been approved for British arms companies’ sales to Saudi Arabia? Does Cameron overlook Saudi Arabia’s beheadings because it bought £1.6bn of UK arms in 2013 and has signed a deal a deal worth well over £4bn for 72 Eurofighter Typhoon jets from BAE this year?” (From guardian)

Re: The Terrifying Possibility Of A Saudi Arabia-ISIS Merger

I’m in agreement with you over Saudi or Gulf’s role that led to the formation of ISIS, but we can’t turn a blind eye to the role of west in this disaster. Anther very interesting article on this situation…please do read.

Re: The Terrifying Possibility Of A Saudi Arabia-ISIS Merger

America cares about oil! What about the people who would be forced to convert to wahabisim or killed! Jihadies in Pakistan are already threatening "raza khanies"!

Re: The Terrifying Possibility Of A Saudi Arabia-ISIS Merger

The Hareem

The topic is Saudi arabian support in its official capacity as well as individual citizens there for a whole host of salfist and wahabist groups that has resulted in what is ISIS today and a ready crop of recruits. That has to be opposed. We spend a disproportionate amount of effort talking about the west so for this thread lets focus on Saudi Arabia.

we can't just give that govt and nation a free pass for their actions. I think even in places like Pakistan the private and funneled as private funding for extremist groups and madrasahs needs to be blocked. Saudis can not export their idiocy if the other places refuse to import it.

Same applies to Groups in US/UK/others where govts and people need to keep Saudi funded programs in check to see what is being taught etc.

UK was way too lax in dealing with freaks like mohajiroun, ghuraba, and hizbultahrir for example. Community stood up against those guys and their incarnates like that born again militant anjem Chaudry.

If this scrouge is being spread and supported by govts and individuals it will have to be battled by both too. If that means boycotting mosques, community groups and Sunday schools that have been compromised by this toxic thought then so be it.

Yes nations need to do more, all nations. And so do individuals and communities. It's too late for individuals and communities to tackle ISIS except trying to stop people from our areas getting hoodwinked and joining but this should be a wake up call to prevent Isis 2.0 from opening in our cities.

Re: The Terrifying Possibility Of A Saudi Arabia-ISIS Merger

^Great thinking! Sounds like a plan, but we’re a little late for that. As we speak, US is already conducting attacks on ISIS…
Will that help curbing down the terrorism? Tom Tommorow pretty much sums it up.http://images.dailykos.com/images/106656/lightbox/TMW2014-09-24colorEXTENDED.png?1411132106

Re: The Terrifying Possibility Of A Saudi Arabia-ISIS Merger

We are always late because we are always lax in doing what we need to do. Much of the expat community in the west and in Muslim majority countries gets too stuck in what other entities are doing and all sorts of conspiracy theories.

So maybe we are too late to do anything about the creation and growth of isis, but we should have been more critical of all those peddling extremism in the stealth of piety and faith, ever since we saw the adevntures of alqaeda or taleban.

What we can do is increase vigilance and opposition to the infiltration of this alien salafist and wahabist ideology in our communities and not give them any sort of moral cover. Secondly we can fully support whatever financial restrictions need to be placed so support money can’t be funneled to psychos like these, and lastly we should be in full support of containment of these psychos. Fine keep US and UK and Jamaica and Trinidad out, have neighboring states do a cleanup there. Saudis, Kuwaitis, bahrainis, emirati, Pakistani, Turk, Egyptians … Let’s ask that these countries unleash war on the psychos who only speak in violence.

Re: The Terrifying Possibility Of A Saudi Arabia-ISIS Merger

Wonder how many of them are actually a part of ISIS. I suspect the majority are either a part of ISIS or Nusra…foreign fighters don’t seem to gravitate to the local outfits that are actually trying to overthrow the primary a-hole on the block (that would be Assad folks…). I suppose an argument could be made, that would make ISIS and Nusra even bigger a-holes as they are stealing effort away from the actual cause…

Re: The Terrifying Possibility Of A Saudi Arabia-ISIS Merger

Saudis funded anyone and everyone who was fighting against Asad. Its just repeat of history of relationship b/w Taliban and USA.

Re: The Terrifying Possibility Of A Saudi Arabia-ISIS Merger

The ideology of violence in the name of Islam is toxic. Any curriculum that propogates a rigid set of rules for muslims and creates rigidity in the mind rather than open-ness and acceptance needs to end. Gender segregation needs to totally come to a full stop, it would help if these moronic men got some attention from the females - they'd be more normal mentally, I think.

Re: The Terrifying Possibility Of A Saudi Arabia-ISIS Merger

Almost every sane Muslim in West as well as in Muslim world is standing up and speaking against ISIS.

"Sheikh bin Bayyah, for his part, said he has no illusions that a fatwa will stop the violence overnight. “These people won’t suddenly lay down their weapons and come to the peace table,” he said. “But in the middle range and the long range, if enough scholars come on board and really begin to address these issues at this level, the level of ideas, it will have an impact, lessening the effects of the radicalization of the youth. But it is going to take time.”

In fact, even the not so sane ones have declared ISIS as an illegal and unIslamic group."
