The Terminal

A must watch movie for this weekend…Not to mention, I have a family member who literally lives on the airports too. :smack:

Big names..Spielberg, Hanks, Zeta-jones

*An Eastern European immigrant in the United States (Tom Hanks) is forced to live permanently at an airport when his war-torn former country’s borders are erased — voiding his passport and leaving him with no political home. The refugee meets and falls in love with a flight attendant (Catherine Zeta-Jones), which prompts a bold escape plan. *

A bold escape plan?

Let me guess.. he ends up marrying Zeta Jones, becomes a US citizen and they live happily ever after. :)

Well, Spielberg is full of surprises …I am hopping its not a bollywood flick…
but two thumbs for Hanks..one for Zeeta jones :k: and the other for the Green card :k:

another mind dump from hollywood... some one shoot me.

This movie was really fun to watch. I'd really recommend it, thumbs up to his acting in this one.

he do job good in this muuuu veeee. ;)

The ending is VERY different then what you guys are assuming. :P

I really ENJOYED the movie!!! It was hilarious!!! I think Tom Hanks is doing physical comedy after a long time
Definitely go watch it!! :k:

Although based on the true story of the Irani refugee at Paris’s CDG, the movie had several inexcusable flaws for a director like Spielberg.

Nevertheless, it had its funny moments during the 2 hour run. Tom Hanks’ performance was just super.

Despite the fact, sometimes I really felt sorry for Viktor( english name of Tom Hanks :D), like when he didn't know how to use a pre-paid phone card and some other occassions, it was a good laugh for two hrs nonetheless.

keep in mind, completely unreal but well made movie. oh not to mention, I was quite amused by looking at some desi's on JFK that was just an additional bonus to the viewers.

I 'll say 7/10.

The Terminal

That is one amazing movie. Tom Hanks in full flow. :k: I wonder if this guy can even portray a Pakistani with aplmob. After all those sequels, this is a pleasently unique change. Steven Speilberg has done it again.

Watch it as soon as you get the chance. You wont be bored for one bit.

just because you are a mod now doesnt mean you get some leeway now.
there is already a thread about this movie

Iranian went crazy and refused to leave the terminal. Now Spielberg would not want that ending ( it is too tragic comparing with the overall theme of the movie) so he changed it a bit.

I watched the Terminal, couldn’t picture myself seeing a better movie. I was astonished with Tom hanks as he puts his best effort in each role . The movie was wonderful although they could have chosen a better ending.

Great movie. Made me really sad and laugh at the same time. Hanks is a superb actor, I have been completely sold since his cast away and he does it again in this movie. Someone said parts of it were filmed at the Toronto airport, which is tres neat.

p.s. do you have appointment?

yeh. its toosday!! monday toosday wensday... :D

I think I am going to be the last one to watch this movie huh! abhi tuk time nhin mila..and the list of 'to watch' movies grows...Dodge ball, Shrek, The Terminal argh! life!

Warning: don’t read if you haven’t seen the movie yet.

Well there were some logical flaws, and then some technical ones e.g. it is snowing and in the next scene CZJ is mad at her boyfriend for not being with her on July 4.

It was unclear how much time had elapsed between the 'entry denied' scenes.

Also, if you must be well-to-do to fly to the US from a former Soviet state, just to get a signature – so don’t you have friends in high places to bail you out? And how could you not find a Russian language interpreter in New York.

BTW, if only the real JFK could be as good.

^^ :hehe:

Speaking of flaws, the security guy had handed him a 15 $ prepaid phone card, whilst the one he was holding was for $10.

:whistling:
