for quoting that hadith. Let me re-quote the above hadith for better understanding
Well that is the only hadith which contains that âAmr ibn Shuâaib r.a., wrote it and put it around the necks of his childrenâ, and these wording of his is not accepted as authentic sanad. Moreover:
1- Iâm unable to find tafsir of Ibn Kathir under Chapter 23 verse 97;
2- According to Albaani, this hadith classified as âHadith Hasanâ, a part from the wordings of Amr ibn Shuâaibâs about âused to teach/told his childrenâŠâ;
3- According to Tirmidi, this hadith classified as 'âHadith Hasan Gareebâ; and
4- Lastly it is said that Ibn Ishaq is a âMudallisâ. (Mudallis means who have bad memory or use vague words in order to give false impression).
Bro CO, if you read that hadith which you quoted, youâll read two things (1) what our Prophet said and (2) what Ibn Amr used to do. For instance I highlighted both with different colors. Some other scholars says the hadith is authentic except the sayings of âAbdullah bin Umarâ (According to Shaikh Albaani).
Furthermore, there are many hadith which are against wearing of amulets like Prophet disliked who wear amulet, amulets are kind of shirk, whoever wear amulets he/she committed shirk, etc.
Still some scholars says it is permissible and some other says it is not permissible and it is a kind of shirk. Now it is upto us whether we would like to wear or not. I prefer not to wear amulets.
Well I've read both views on them being permissible or not. I'm not a scholar myself, so I wouldn't be able to analyze all that by myself and tell you strength of sanads etc. My view on the subject is based on the view of the ulema whom I know. Though I don't wear it myself, I don't think it's necessarily wrong to do so. I prefer the ruqya method to deal with jinn/sihr/evil eye. But that's a different topic.
Itâs âmagic / sihrâ in simple words. No matter how much the so called âbelieversâ try to justify these sinful acts, it is magic / sihr. All muslims know what place magic / sihrâ holds in Islam so the same goes for such practices whether by muslims or nonmuslims. Regardless of the religion of such âbelieversâ, they put their trust in & ask for help from supernatural powers other than God which is sinful:
This video explains in detail my views on this matter. Watch all the parts of this âRuqyah courseâ if you really interested to differentiate between wrong and right as it will help you. There are too many sufi muslims or families with sufi backgrounds who do not consider these acts of shirk as wrong as their forefathers also did not. Reciting Allah âHUâ by a crowd of sufi muslims in short regular intervals with force on âHUâ is just one small example of how they merge such forms of shirk with Islam. Majority are ignorant as they believe they are calling out to âAllahâ. And they would argue with anyone telling them their acts are wrong. In reality, they are calling out to some supernatural power, not Allah as this specific way of enchanting the word âHUâ by uttering it together with âALLAHâ DOES NOT make it any Islamic. It still is a sinful practice but it would take an unbiased brain to understand. Too many muslims believe it to be ISLAMIC⊠Some calling the âNooriâ ilm as Islamic too. It is NOT any different from the usual magic no matter what you name it.
