The Shape of Things to Come

** something interesting i read at visagepk.com**
I’m afraid people are getting the wrong idea nowadays. Everywhere you look there’s a “flat this” and a “flat that”. Flat screen monitors, flat picture tube, flat speakers, flat this, that and the others. Well this may come as a surprise but flat and wide are ideal characteristics for a TV, definitely not a woman!

Yes, fret and fume you may but the fact remains that guys are into babies that “got back”! So if you want to arouse interest, pay special attention to your “assets” and I guarantee, more people will do the same.

The reason that most women resemble a deflated life raft from the rear is due to lack of proper exercise. Most Pakistani women are seriously unfit! Hardly any are into sports, even the one’s that are into sports continue that only till school and after that all turn the way of the whale. The one’s who are body conscious are mostly too lazy and worried about ruining their blow dries to exercise and consider starvation to be the ideal substitute. Hence you have these stick figures on the brink of collapse. Where, then I ask you, is the va va voom ?! It’s flushed down, along with the diet drinks and nicotine. “Yes, I smoke because it keeps me thin”. This is the logic: lung cancer an acceptable side effect. And I thought women were smart. Then again, they buy this magazine don’t they? Then again, they let me write for this magazine don’t they? Maybe not smart but magnanimous and forgiving nevertheless.

Alas! The picture is not pretty for us males. Where do we go to find women whose backsides make us want to commit: adultery, mayhem, carnage and above everything else, ourselves! Not in Pakistan, I can tell you that! Not until our women rise up to the challenge, assume the responsibility to ensure that our coming generations are not subjected to the same visual and physical malaise as us and make the effort to rid our country of this disorder.

If you are one of those pioneering, dedicated women, then I have the solution for you. Embrace exercise! Not just your namby pamby aerobics but tough, hard workouts that force you to acknowledge your strengths and weaknesses. It is only through this exercise anvil that you will finally emerge as a phoenix with buns of steel!

Of course any meaningful exercise program must include both anaerobic as well as aerobic components. Meaning exercise with weights and without weights. What I recommend is two days of weight training and three days of high intensity cardiovascular training. Do a full body weight training program on Mondays and Fridays and high intensity aerobics on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Take Wednesdays and Sundays off for a well-deserved rest. Your full body weight-training program must include the Squats (essential for that round, tight derriere) as well as have one compound exercise, performed for three sets, per body part. The aerobic component can be any form of cardiovascular work that you enjoy. Currently Tae Bo is very much in vogue but unfortunately I do not know of any qualified instructors here but there is an even better alternative available in Karachi. It is Kyokushinkai, Japanese Karate. Kyokushinkai is one of the toughest martial arts and it’s training is very intense. Kyokushinkai classes cover all the bases with respect to high intensity aerobics as they have an aerobic warm up session, followed by stretching which is followed by explosive strength kicking and punching and finally rounded up with stamina training. In my opinion, this is the best way to get total fitness. Oh and by the way, the side effect of Kyokushinkai is knowledge of self-defense, mental peace and fortitude and ability to kick ass!!
