Re: The scrambled egg ...
I CANNOT wait to get home and make some scrambled eggs. I'm gonna try it out with mayo tonight. Later I'll try the evaporated milk idea.
Re: The scrambled egg ...
adding milk can help !
This
In the medium hot pan, pour some milk, about 3 oz per egg. Stir it so it wont stick, and then break an egg in it and keep stirring till egg gets cook because of the hot milk. If you want a good texture, make sure you break the egg in the milk and do not beat the egg first and then pour it in.
Turn the stove off and remove the pan from the stove when you think that the eggs should be ready within 10 sec. Last few second cooking should happen off the stove, using eggs own heat. You will get a restaurant quality style fluffy and creamy scrambled egg.
Re: The scrambled egg ...
on a personal note, I've NEVER had a decent tasting meal in an airplane ...
Me too! I always eat before or after the flight - airplane food is blech!

I just flew through Royal Jordanian and their food was pretty ok I must say
Re: The scrambled egg ...
I'm sure the trick is to add milk and undercook the eggs leaving it slightly runny. I think we desis normally overcook our eggs. I know I cook eggyolks so much, that the yolk probably screams 'bas kardo I'm dead already'!
Btw Emirates food is absolutely yummy!
Re: The scrambled egg ...
For most of my life I've hated airplane food...and would usually just eat the dessert or the bread roll...but not the main meal. But the past couple of years I've flown on Emirate Airlines and they serve good food...that didn't have that airplane smell infused into their dishes. This summer ...flew on Air France and I was hoping that they would serve good food..thinking that the French are known for their cuisine...but it was disappointing.

Airline folks say that they are not into restaurant industry. They serve food just to take care of hungry travelers , they are not a gourmet service.
Re: The scrambled egg ...
Personally I can't see any catering company who mass produce airline food being so inclined as so carry out any of the tips on this thread. They probably don't even use real eggs, imagine how many they would need to crack and whisk etc to make enough eggs for several flights. They more than likey use 'liquid eggs' which is what the baking industry uses.....and is totally synthetic and full of additives and stabilizers. And then cooked in large catering size paella pans.

Don't ruin it for others please. Let them enjoy the moment.

Yeah but taking "care" of them doesn't have to mean making them sick and miserable. There's mediocre food and then there's bad food. Would it kill them to just serve a pizza? A mini pizza. You know I've yet to see an airline serve pizza. And I want them to call it "pizza" and not something fancy like a flatbread.
Re: The scrambled egg ...
Actually I've had food at PIA and it wasn't bad at all....
Re: The scrambled egg ...
^Growing up...I remember that PIA would often serve this omelet with a kabab for breakfast. I usually ate the sweet dish. The best I had was on Emirates...all meals were good. For dinner, they served this chicken curry...it was delicious. It didn't smell/taste like the plane.
Re: The scrambled egg ...
I have travelled through various airlines but Emirates & Singapore airline's food was the best . I recently travelled through Thai air's the dessert was good & food was ok ! PIA serves good food recently a relative travelled and praised the food alot.
