Spock, I agree with you to some extent, usually movies like this with high scifi actions don't usually have good plots, take mummuy 2 for example, the movie's plot as no where close to the prequal but action wise I enjoyed it really well.
The last action movie that clearly remenber having a good plot was the matrix.

I have not seen this movie but the first two Mummy episodes were a hit mainly because of the fabulous acting of the Mummy himself (the baldy) his back-stabbing mistress, Rachel Weiss and to a lesser extent, the long-haired arab and the the blonde guy who played the lead role.
The Rock is a wrestler for funk's sake.
I predict the movie will be utter sh-t for this reason.
I didn’t really find anything special about this movie. Lotta action, no suspense, a little comedy and hey what a woman (sorceress).
