Just wanted to add my words to this thread. I feel so disgusted by these so called Muslims that are doing everything against the very teachings of Islam. I feel sad for this minority group and pray Allah protects them from this inhumane and Un Islamic treatment. I wish more rational Muslim come forward and teach what real Islam is by there words and deeds to other non Muslims. To me this is real Jihad. Building law abiding prosperous communities, educating our children and protecting helpless and needy is the true essence of my religion Islam. May Allah gives us all Hadayat to choose the right.

I still can’t believe somebody would be sick enough to make a kid jump into a fire.. These people are not Muslim who persecute innocnet children in the name of Islam, they are Kaafir.

Pathetic ... so sad and worrisome. And please do not label such people as Kaafirs. Kaafir is something different in religious terms. People like these are plain Deheriyas or simply put Tyrants irrespective of what belief they adhere to. People like these qualify for the eye for eye criteria.

I read this story a few days ago.. it is pretty disgusting.. truth is that there have been many old faith-systems that have slowly vanished when Christianity and Islam spread... most of the pre-christian european faiths (paganism, germanic faiths etc) are almost gone now...christianity took over there... the religion of zorastriniasm in Iran had similar fate.. Islam took over there..
The situation in Iraq just keeps worsening every day..... The sad part is that with the way things are going I don't see peace coming to that area (forget prosperity) for another decade atleast..

you should be happy actually that thier religion is becoming extinct.....the link says that they are converting to islam. and allah has said that he will not accept any religion other than islam in verse 3:085...since they are accepting islam now, allah is impressed with them now.

.No I think he not sarcastic...the pain and anger due to Islamic extremism is expressed through Sarcasm.
I know It's hard for any Muslim to digest.....there are majority of religious minorities who disappeared or shifted/migrated to somewhere else due to persecution of Islam...thanks to some of the verses in Quran and strict adherence to them by Muslims.
These Sabians are just one example...Parsis or Zoroastrians who once thrived in Iran are today just a few thousands in Gujarat and Mumbai, that too because their ancestors migrated in India and got protection.
Persecution of Sikhs by Aurangzeb...persucution of Rajputs...Kashmiri Pundits leaving Kashmir valley...how many examples are needed ?
There are some educated Muslims who understand this...but their voices remain un-heard.

so why did they not thrive and grow in India after migration?
as far as persecution of people of other religions, race or castes go, adherents of every faith have twisted their faith to justify that..does it make it right..no. but when ppl get on their high horse and start talking as if this is some sort of unique phenomenon then its just duplicity.
alieanating the educated muslims by taking an insensitive approach does not do anyone any good. here we have a couple of people who are saddened and troubled by what is hapening, but what do we get, holier than thou lectures in an extremely rude manner (not you).. was that really necessary?
